Sherwin-Williams Firetex FX5090 Paint
This is a barrel of Sherwin-Williams Firetex FX5090 intumescent paint, designed for fire protection of structural steel. The Firetex FX5090 is an advanced coating system that expands when exposed to heat, creating a char layer that insulates the steel and delays its failure in a fire. This particular barrel appears to be a professional-grade industrial coating, likely used in commercial or industrial construction projects.
Condition and Collectibility
The barrel shows signs of use and storage, with some surface wear and potential residue. While not pristine, it represents a genuine example of a specialized industrial coating. This barrel may be of interest to collectors of industrial memorabilia, those involved in restoration projects, or individuals seeking a specific fire-retardant coating for a project.
