Introduction
This is an antique German bracket clock, crafted from oak. The clock features a decorative, multi-tiered design with carved detailing and a domed top. The face displays Roman numerals and appears to have a pendulum mechanism visible behind the glass panel. This clock would have been a prominent display piece in a home, showcasing both functionality and craftsmanship.
Condition
This antique clock exhibits signs consistent with age and use. The oak case shows wear, including surface scratches and possible fading. The clock’s mechanism is untested and its functionality is unknown. Despite its condition, this clock presents an opportunity for restoration or would be a desirable addition to a collection of antique timepieces, appreciated for its aesthetic qualities and historical significance.
