Lucas Electric Signalling Lamp – Mark II
This is a Lucas Electric Signalling Lamp, specifically the Mark II model, dating back to 1918. These lamps were originally fitted to various vehicles, including motorcycles and early automobiles, serving as essential signalling devices for safety and communication. The lamp features a robust construction with a brass or copper body, and a clear glass lens, typical of the quality associated with Lucas products of this era.
Condition and Collectibility
The lamp presents with a patina consistent with age and use. While showing signs of wear, it retains much of its original character and would appeal to collectors of vintage automotive parts, Lucas memorabilia, or early electrical equipment. This lamp offers a glimpse into the history of vehicle lighting and signalling, and would make a unique addition to any collection or display.
