Vintage Sledge Hammer & Bottle Jack
This lot features a heavy-duty sledge hammer alongside a vintage Lake & Elliott bottle jack. The sledge hammer appears to be of traditional construction, with a substantial wooden handle and a robust metal head. The Lake & Elliott bottle jack is a classic design, indicative of early 20th-century automotive or industrial use. These tools represent a bygone era of manual labour and mechanical ingenuity.
Condition & Collectibility
Both the sledge hammer and bottle jack exhibit signs of age and use, with surface wear and patina consistent with their age. The bottle jack is missing its handle. Despite this, the lot presents a unique opportunity for collectors of antique tools, blacksmithing enthusiasts, or those involved in restoration projects. The combination of these two items offers a glimpse into the tools used in a variety of trades and industries.
