Joseph Sankey & Son Art Nouveau Pitchers
This pair of pitchers are crafted by Joseph Sankey & Son, renowned for their quality copperware during the Art Nouveau period. The pitchers exhibit the flowing, organic lines characteristic of the style, with embossed floral and foliate motifs adorning the bodies. These pitchers would have been functional items for serving water or other beverages, but their aesthetic design elevates them to decorative objects as well.
Condition and Collectibility
These pitchers show signs of age and use, consistent with their antique status. The copper exhibits a lovely patina, adding to their character. Collectors of Art Nouveau metalware or Joseph Sankey & Son pieces will find these pitchers particularly desirable, as they represent a fine example of the craftsmanship and design sensibilities of the era.
