Vintage Embroidered Firescreen Table
This charming table features a beautifully embroidered needlepoint screen, likely intended as a firescreen or decorative folding table. The screen is supported by a dark wood frame with elegantly curved legs, suggesting a Victorian or early 20th-century origin. The embroidery depicts a vibrant floral arrangement, adding a touch of colour and sophistication to the piece. The folding design allows for easy storage and portability, making it a versatile addition to any home.
Condition and Collectibility
This table shows signs of age and use, with some wear to the wood and potential fading or minor imperfections to the embroidery. However, these characteristics contribute to its antique charm and authenticity. It would appeal to collectors of vintage textiles, embroidery, or small antique furniture, as well as those seeking a unique and decorative piece for their home. The table’s folding design and embroidered screen make it a rare and desirable item.
