Smiths Insurance Payment Clock
This is a Smiths insurance payment clock, dating from the mid-20th century. These clocks were commonly found in insurance offices and shops, designed to accept two florin coins as payment, and display the time. The clock features a wooden case, a circular dial with Arabic numerals, and a coin slot to the front.
Condition and Collectibility
This clock shows signs consistent with age and use. It presents well, and would be of interest to collectors of vintage advertising memorabilia, horological items, or those with an interest in social history. The clock’s unique function and design make it a desirable piece for display.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
