WW1 Austrian Masonic Lighter

This intriguing lighter originates from Austria, likely dating to the World War I era. The body is covered in a textured red material, possibly leatherette, and features embossed Masonic symbols. The lighter is marked with a US patent date of 1912, suggesting an earlier design adapted for use during the war. It presents a fascinating piece of history, potentially linked to Masonic involvement or symbolism within the military context of the time.

Condition and Collectibility

The lighter shows signs of age and use, consistent with its likely wartime origins. The red covering exhibits wear and some loss of material, and the mechanism has not been tested. Despite this, it remains a desirable collectible for those interested in Masonic history, military memorabilia, or vintage lighters. Its unique design and historical context make it a compelling addition to any collection.
