Uranium Glass Dressing Table Set

This charming dressing table set comprises a hand mirror and a powder box, both crafted from uranium glass. The glass exhibits a vibrant green hue, characteristic of uranium content, and features a pressed glass design with a floral motif. This set likely dates to the early to mid-20th century, a period when uranium glass was popular for its luminous quality and decorative appeal. The set’s design and colour suggest it was intended for a vanity or dressing table, adding a touch of elegance to a personal grooming routine.

Condition and Collectibility

The set presents with expected wear consistent with age and use. There are no significant chips or cracks, though minor surface scratches and imperfections may be present. The mirror shows some age-related silvering loss, which is typical for antique mirrors. This set is of interest to collectors of uranium glass, depression glass, and antique vanity items. Its vibrant colour and delicate design make it a desirable piece for display or use.
