Leon Provins Art Deco Pewter Bowls
This pair of octagonal bowls were crafted by Leon Provins of Belgium, renowned for his Art Deco pewter work. Each bowl exhibits a beautifully hammered texture, characteristic of the period, and is clearly signed and dated – one from 1924 and the other from 1934. The bowls showcase the quality craftsmanship and design aesthetic of the Art Deco movement, offering a glimpse into early 20th-century decorative arts.
Condition and Collectibility
These bowls present with expected patina consistent with age and use. While showing signs of wear, this adds to their character and authenticity. These bowls would be a desirable addition to a collection of Art Deco objects, vintage pewter, or Belgian design, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts alike.
