Hugo Meyer Rangefinder & Light Meters
This lot includes a vintage Hugo Meyer rangefinder, alongside two photographer’s light meters – a Practi and a Bewi. The Hugo Meyer rangefinder features a robust construction and is designed for accurate distance measurement, essential for achieving sharp focus in manual photography. The accompanying light meters, while differing in design, both served the crucial function of determining proper exposure settings for film photography, aiding photographers in capturing well-lit images under various conditions.
Condition & Collectibility
The rangefinder and light meters exhibit signs consistent with age and use, including cosmetic wear and potential functional limitations. These items are offered as collectibles, appealing to enthusiasts of vintage photography equipment and camera history. Their presence as a group offers a glimpse into the tools used by photographers of a bygone era, and would be a welcome addition to any collection of photographic instruments.
