This is an inert artillery shell dating back to 1915, likely from the First World War. The shell body is constructed of a dark metal, and features a complex brass fuse at the top. The fuse is intricately detailed with markings and a rotating mechanism, and is dated 1915. The shell’s body is marked with scale measurements and other period-appropriate markings.

It exhibits signs of age and wear consistent with its period and likely use, including patina and minor surface imperfections.
