Vintage Megger Meter
This is a vintage Megger meter, a portable instrument used for testing electrical insulation resistance. The meter features a bakelite housing, typical of electrical equipment from the mid-20th century, and is marked with military designations, suggesting its use in field operations. The meter is housed in a leather carrying case, providing protection during transport and storage.
Condition and Collectibility
This Megger meter shows signs of age and use, consistent with its vintage and likely military service. The bakelite case exhibits wear and discoloration, while the leather case shows creasing and wear. Despite its age, this meter is a desirable piece for collectors of vintage electrical test equipment, military surplus, or bakelite objects. It would also appeal to those interested in the history of electrical engineering and testing.
