Vintage Tennis & Cricket Set
This lot comprises two vintage tennis rackets, one by Dunlop and the other by Slazenger, alongside two cricket bats from Gunn & Moore and Gray Nicholls. The tennis rackets exhibit classic wooden frames, typical of their era, with woven string patterns. The cricket bats showcase traditional willow construction, with cane handles and distinctive branding. These items represent a bygone era of sporting equipment, reflecting the craftsmanship and materials used in the mid-20th century.
Condition & Collectibility
The condition of the items varies, with expected wear and tear commensurate with age and use. The tennis rackets show signs of use, including minor frame damage and string wear. The cricket bats display surface marks and handle wear, but remain structurally sound. This lot would appeal to collectors of vintage sports memorabilia, enthusiasts of tennis and cricket history, or those seeking unique decorative items.
