Victorian Silk Embroidery Panel
This is a beautifully detailed 19th-century silk embroidery panel, depicting a charming scene with floral motifs and a central inscription reading “God Bless Our Home”. The embroidery is executed with a high level of skill, showcasing delicate stitches and vibrant colours. The panel is presented within an ornate, gilded frame, typical of the Victorian era, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and providing a sense of historical elegance.
Condition and Collectibility
The embroidery panel shows signs consistent with age, including some minor fading and wear to the silk, which is to be expected in a piece of this age. The frame exhibits some wear commensurate with its age, but remains structurally sound. This piece would be of interest to collectors of Victorian textiles, antique embroidery, or those seeking a unique and decorative piece of historical art for their home.
