Sheraton Revival Mahogany Armchairs
This pair of armchairs are crafted in the Sheraton Revival style, featuring a distinctive horseshoe shape to the arms and beautifully carved mahogany frames. The seats are upholstered with patterned fabric, adding a touch of elegance to the design. These chairs exhibit the refined aesthetic of the late 18th and early 19th-century Sheraton style, popularised by the designs of Thomas Sheraton, and are likely constructed during the late 19th or early 20th century as part of the revival movement.
Condition
These armchairs show signs of age and use, with some wear to the upholstery and minor imperfections to the mahogany frames. The chairs retain a good degree of their original character and construction, making them appealing to collectors of antique furniture. While not pristine, the chairs present well and would be a charming addition to a period-style interior, offering a glimpse into the elegance of a bygone era.
