Perrine Fly Tin
This is a vintage Perrine fly tin, containing a large assortment of hand-tied flies. The tin itself is rectangular with a hinged lid, and features an embossed illustration on the interior lid depicting various fishing knots – the Improved Clinch Knot, Blood Knot, Double Turtle Knot, and Improved End Loop. The exterior of the tin is silver-toned metal, showing signs of age and use, and is labelled “Automatic Fly Reels Guaranteed for Life”.
Condition
The tin exhibits wear consistent with age and use, including scratches, dents, and patina. The flies within are a mixed collection, showing varying degrees of wear and some with missing materials. Despite its aged condition, this tin represents a fascinating piece of fishing history and would be of interest to collectors of antique fishing tackle or those interested in the art of fly tying.
