Roe Deer Skull with Award Medal
This is a striking roe deer skull, professionally mounted on a dark wood shield-shaped plaque. The skull retains a significant portion of its natural bone structure and is adorned with a green ribbon and a circular gold-toned medal, suggesting it was an award-winning specimen. The antlers are well-preserved, adding to the overall dramatic presentation of this unique piece.
Condition and Collectibility
The skull exhibits signs of age and natural wear, consistent with its organic origin and likely outdoor exposure before preservation. The mounting plaque shows some minor wear, but remains structurally sound. This piece would appeal to collectors of taxidermy, hunting memorabilia, or natural history artifacts, offering a distinctive and conversation-starting display item.
