B.U.F. Mosley Belt Buckle
This is a brass belt buckle featuring the emblem of the British Union of Fascists (B.U.F.), led by Sir Oswald Mosley. The buckle displays an eagle clutching a swastika-like symbol above a skull, with the motto “England Awake” inscribed below. The design is highly symbolic of the B.U.F.’s ideology and aesthetic, reflecting the party’s attempt to emulate aspects of Italian Fascism and German Nazism. The buckle is constructed from solid brass and features a textured background.
Condition
This buckle shows signs of age and wear consistent with its likely period of use and storage. The brass has developed a patina, and there are some minor surface scratches and blemishes. Despite this, the emblem remains largely intact and legible. This buckle is a rare piece of political memorabilia that would be of interest to collectors of historical artifacts, political ephemera, or items related to 20th-century British history.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
