RAF Aircraftsman Jacket 1951

This is a vintage Royal Air Force (RAF) Aircraftsman jacket, manufactured by S. Simpson Ltd in 1951. The jacket is constructed from a heavy-weight blue-grey wool serge, typical of military garments from this period. It features a traditional cut with a notched lapel, four front patch pockets, and brass buttons bearing the RAF eagle emblem. The jacket is labelled ‘Jacket O.A. Size No. 8’ and details a height of 5’7” to 5’8”, a 37-38” chest, and a 34” waist.
