Vintage Tin Trunks and Tool Collection
This lot features two stacked vintage tin trunks, the larger bearing the inscription “LEEDSCO OPS L1776 TORONTO VIA MONTREAL T0-0-3-C” and a date of “11/12”. The trunks exhibit a classic, industrial aesthetic, likely used for transporting or storing goods or tools. The trunks are accompanied by a selection of wooden-handled hand tools, suggesting a workshop or tradesman’s origin. The trunks show signs of considerable use, adding to their character and historical appeal.
Condition and Collector Appeal
These trunks and tools present with significant wear consistent with age and use. The trunks display surface rust, scratches, and areas of paint loss, while the tools show signs of wear to the wood and metal components. Despite this, the trunks retain their structural integrity and the tools remain largely intact. This lot would appeal to collectors of vintage tools, industrial ephemera, or those seeking unique storage solutions with a rustic aesthetic.
