Antique Solingen Brazilian Daggers
This lot comprises two German-made daggers, originating from Solingen and intended for export to Brazil between 1910 and 1940. These “faca de ponta” daggers feature distinctive, elongated blades designed for thrusting, and are characterised by their simple yet functional construction. Each dagger has a full tang extending into a wooden grip, capped with a bulbous or rounded pommel. Both examples are accompanied by their original leather scabbards, showing signs of age and use.
Condition and Collectibility
These daggers exhibit wear consistent with age and use, including patina to the blades and wear to the leather scabbards. While showing signs of age, the blades retain a reasonable level of sharpness and the grips remain intact. These daggers would appeal to collectors of antique weaponry, particularly those interested in Solingen-made knives and Brazilian military history, or those interested in the history of edged weapons.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
