Automobile Association & Royal Automobile Club Badges
This lot comprises two Automobile Association (AA) badges and one Royal Automobile Club (RAC) badge. These badges are classic examples of early 20th-century motoring accessories, designed to be affixed to vehicles to denote membership and provide roadside assistance. The AA badges feature the iconic yellow circle with the AA lettering, while the RAC badge displays the club’s crest. These badges represent a significant part of British motoring history and are highly sought after by collectors.
Condition & Collectibility
The badges exhibit signs of age and wear, consistent with their vintage. The enamel surfaces show some minor chips and imperfections, and the metal may exhibit some patina. Despite these imperfections, the badges retain their original character and charm. These badges would be a valuable addition to any collection of automotive memorabilia, particularly for enthusiasts of British motoring history and vintage car clubs.
