Four Glass Demijohns

This lot comprises four glass demijohns, each exhibiting a unique colour – one clear, two amber, and one green. These vessels were traditionally used for storing and transporting liquids, particularly wine, cider, or other fermented beverages. The rounded bodies and narrow necks are characteristic of demijohn design, intended for ease of handling and secure storage. Their varying colours likely indicate different eras of production or intended contents.

Condition

These demijohns show signs of age and use, with some surface scratches and minor imperfections consistent with their history. While they are not new, they remain structurally sound and present a charming, rustic aesthetic. Collectors and enthusiasts will appreciate their vintage appeal and potential for display or repurposing as decorative items.
