Vintage Bravington’s Ashtray with Nautical Details
This is a vintage copper ashtray, prominently marked with “Bravington’s”. The ashtray features a circular form with a raised rim and a central depression for holding ash or cigarettes. Affixed to the exterior is a small, rectangular plaque reading “Captain of the Ship”, suggesting a nautical theme or association. The piece exhibits characteristics of trench art, potentially crafted from repurposed materials, adding to its unique character and historical interest.
Condition and Collectibility
The ashtray shows signs of age and use, with some patina and wear to the copper surface. While not pristine, this wear contributes to its vintage appeal and authenticity. This piece would likely appeal to collectors of nautical memorabilia, trench art, or vintage smoking accessories, offering a unique and conversation-starting addition to any collection.
