Victorian Half Crown Coin

This is a British half crown coin dating back to 1894, from the reign of Queen Victoria. The coin features a portrait of Queen Victoria on the obverse, with the inscription “FID DEF IND IMP” (Fidei Defensator Indiae Imperatrix – Defender of the Faith, Empress of India) surrounding her head. The reverse displays a crowned shield with the royal arms, and the denomination “HALF CROWN” is clearly visible. This coin represents a piece of British history and is a classic example of Victorian-era coinage.

Condition and Collectability

The coin shows signs of wear consistent with its age and circulation. There are some surface scratches and minor loss of detail, but the overall design remains clearly legible.
