Newhall Porcelain Pin Dishes

These are two Newhall porcelain pin dishes, each decorated with scenes inspired by the novel *The Old Curiosity Shop* by Charles Dickens. One dish depicts an interior scene with figures gathered around a counter, while the other shows an exterior view of a village street with characters in conversation. These dishes are representative of the popular Victorian trend of depicting literary scenes on porcelain, offering a charming glimpse into the cultural tastes of the era.

Condition and Collectibility

Both dishes exhibit signs of age and wear consistent with their antique status. There is some minor crazing to the glaze and slight wear to the painted decoration, but no significant chips or cracks are apparent. These dishes would appeal to collectors of Newhall porcelain, Dickens memorabilia, or antique ceramics, offering a unique and decorative addition to any collection.
