Antique Silver Desk Calendar
This is a handsome antique desk calendar, hallmarked W.J.Myott and Co, Birmingham 1913. The calendar features a clear acrylic face displaying the month of October, with rotating dials for day and date. It is constructed with a solid silver frame, supported by four decorative silver posts, and rests upon a wooden base. The design is typical of early 20th-century desk accessories, intended to add a touch of sophistication to the office or study.
Condition and Collectibility
The calendar shows signs consistent with age and use, with some minor wear to the silver and acrylic. The wooden base exhibits some surface wear, but remains structurally sound. This piece would appeal to collectors of antique silver, vintage desk accessories, or those interested in early 20th-century ephemera. Its hallmarked status and the reputation of W.J.Myott and Co add to its desirability.
