Sculptural Detail
This is a patinated bronze or brass sculpture depicting a winged cherub, or putto. The figure is dynamically posed, with one arm raised as if offering something, and the other hand near his hip. The sculpture stands upon a shaped base, detailed with what appears to be foliage. The patina gives the piece an aged, antique appearance, enhancing the classical aesthetic of the subject matter.
Condition and Collectibility
The sculpture presents with expected wear commensurate with age. There are areas of patina variation and minor surface imperfections, which contribute to its character. This piece would appeal to collectors of bronze sculptures, classical figurines, or those seeking a decorative antique with a touch of whimsy. The quality of the casting and the expressive pose suggest a well-executed work.
