Richard III Silver Groat
This is a silver groat dating from the reign of Richard III (1483-1485). These hammered coins were produced during a turbulent period in English history, following the Wars of the Roses. The coin features the portrait of Richard III, along with the inscription surrounding the edge. The reverse displays a cross with various symbols, typical of the coinage of the era.
