A Vintage German 400 Day Torsion Clock

This is a striking vintage German 400-day torsion clock, dating to the 1930s. The clock features a brass case, a glass dome, and a white dial with black numerals. The torsion movement is visible through the glass, showcasing the intricate mechanics that power this fascinating timepiece. The clock’s design is typical of mid-century modern aesthetics, blending functionality with elegant form.

Condition and Collector Appeal

The clock presents with signs consistent with age and use. The brass case exhibits some patina, and the glass dome may have minor imperfections. Despite this, the clock retains its visual appeal and offers a unique opportunity for collectors of vintage timepieces. The 400-day torsion movement is particularly sought after by enthusiasts, and this example is a fine representation of the era’s craftsmanship.
