A 1930s Metal Cinema Film Reel Storage Cabinet
This is a metal storage cabinet of the 1930s, made for storing cinema film reels. The dark painted metal body has a flat riveted top and a wooden base, and is divided into twelve numbered compartments. Each narrow metal door is fitted with a spring closure and a rounded metal knob. Paper tags marked PART 1 to PART 6 and ROPE are attached to several of the doors. Spoked metal reels are stored in front of the cabinet.
Condition and Originality
The cabinet shows wear consistent with its age, including surface rust on the top, scratches and areas of worn paint to the metal, and marks to the wooden base. The numbered doors, spring closures and original tags remain in place, which adds to its period character. The item is offered as seen and no claims are made as to its working order. Its original fittings, numbered compartments and cinema-related use will appeal to collectors of cinema memorabilia, vintage industrial storage and original 1930s cinema equipment, as well as buyers looking for distinctive display or interior pieces.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
