1957 Desert Tank Crew Oversuit

This is a 1957-dated desert tank crew oversuit, designed for use by British military personnel operating in arid environments. Constructed from a durable, light-tan cotton drill material, this oversuit was intended to be worn over existing uniform components, providing additional protection from the elements and abrasion within the confines of a tank. Notable features include a full-length zip closure, multiple pockets for carrying essential equipment, and adjustable cuffs and waist for a secure fit.

Condition and Collectibility

This oversuit shows signs of wear consistent with its age and military service, including some fading, minor staining, and evidence of repairs. Despite these imperfections, it remains a remarkably well-preserved example of a rare and historically significant piece of military equipment. This oversuit would be a valuable addition to any collection of British military memorabilia, particularly for those interested in Cold War-era tank warfare and desert operations.
