British Mk3 Turtle Helmet
This is a British Mk3 Turtle steel helmet, a design introduced in the early 1980s and notably used during the Falklands War in 1982. The Mk3 represents an evolution of earlier British steel helmet designs, offering improved ballistic protection and comfort. This helmet features a distinctive rounded shape, earning it the “Turtle” nickname, and is constructed from hardened steel. The interior includes a liner and chinstrap system for secure fit and protection.
Condition and Collectibility
This helmet shows signs of service and wear consistent with its age and potential military use. The exterior exhibits surface wear and some minor corrosion, indicative of field use. The chinstrap is present and appears original, though may show wear. This helmet would be of interest to collectors of British military history, Falklands War memorabilia, or those interested in military headgear.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
