Historical Panelled Door
This is a 19th-century panelled door, likely originating from a farmhouse or similar period property. The door features a traditional construction with raised and fielded panels, and is secured with iron fixings. The simple, robust design suggests a functional yet aesthetically pleasing approach to carpentry common during the period.
Condition and Collectibility
The door presents with signs consistent with age and previous use, including wear and imperfections to the paintwork and timber. These characteristics contribute to its authenticity and appeal for restoration or incorporation into a period-sensitive project. This door would be of interest to collectors of architectural salvage, those undertaking restoration work, or anyone seeking a unique and characterful feature for their home.
