Antique 19th Century Porcelain Ewer
This exquisite ewer exemplifies the Rococo Revival style popular in 19th-century porcelain production, reminiscent of Coalport and Coalbrookdale pieces. The vibrant turquoise ground provides a striking backdrop for the meticulously applied flower encrusted decoration. The ewer features a gracefully curved form, a gilded handle, and a decorative base, all contributing to its elegant aesthetic.
Condition and Collectibility
This antique ewer presents as a desirable piece for collectors of porcelain and Rococo Revival decorative arts. While showing signs consistent with age and use, the ewer retains much of its original charm and intricate detailing. Its vibrant colours, delicate floral embellishments, and overall craftsmanship make it a captivating addition to any collection or a statement piece for discerning interiors.
