Sixteen 2011 London Olympics 50p Coins
This lot comprises sixteen 2011 London Olympics 50p coins, each struck with the “50 PENCE” inscription on the reverse. The designs depict a range of sporting scenes, and one coin clearly shows a shuttlecock, reflecting the event themes associated with the London 2011 Olympic programme. The coins are offered together as a single lot, with the individual reverse designs varying across the group.
Condition and Collector Interest
The coins show general signs of handling and circulation, including surface marks and some toning across the group. Each piece remains legible and the sporting motifs are discernible on most examples. As a set of sixteen with varied sporting designs, the lot may appeal to collectors of commemorative British coinage or those assembling a themed run of London 2011 Olympic issues.
