Pair of 1941 25 Pr Cannon Shell Cases
This lot comprises a pair of brass 25 Pr cannon shell cases, dating back to 1941. The cases exhibit a distinct cylindrical form, constructed from solid brass with a weathered patina indicative of age and use. Markings on the base of each case include “LOT 2750 RLE”, “25 PR”, “1941 CF”, and additional alphanumeric codes such as “NVX 33” and “AWK”. These markings suggest a military origin and provide details regarding the manufacturing lot and date.
Condition and Collectibility
These shell cases display signs of wear consistent with their age and potential military service, including surface discoloration and minor imperfections. While not pristine, the cases retain their structural integrity and the markings remain largely legible. These items would be of interest to collectors of military memorabilia, artillery enthusiasts, or those seeking unique historical artifacts. The 1941 date adds to their appeal, placing them within a significant period of historical conflict.
