Three 925 Sterling Silver Lidded Enamelled Pill Pots
This lot comprises three small lidded pill pots, each stamped or identified as 925 sterling silver and decorated with enamel. The first is oval with a black ground and a hand-painted blue butterfly with white-edged wings, set against green and black tones. The second is also oval, with a black enamelled lid in a floral design of turquoise, blue and red, framed by a red border. The third is round, with a blue lid featuring a banded design in pale and deeper blue tones. The lots have a combined gross weight of 51.6 grams. Each pot opens by its lid in the usual manner for this type of box.
Condition and Collector Interest
The pots show general wear consistent with their age and use, including some tarnish and light surface marks to the silver edges. The enamel appears intact on the decorated surfaces, though this has not been tested or examined further. No further information on the maker or date has been established, and no hallmark details beyond the 925 standard are stated in the description. These small enamelled pots appeal to collectors of silver trinket boxes, pill boxes and decorative enamel, particularly as a group of three with contrasting designs.
