Alabaster Trinket Box with Contents
This rectangular alabaster trinket box has a mottled amber and brown finish across its lid and sides. The hinged lid is edged with a silver-tone metal band, and the interior is lined in a matching mottled tone. The box is offered with a quantity of costume jewellery, including brooches in gold-tone and silver-tone metals, one of which has a central faux pearl within a beaded gold-tone surround.
Condition and Collectability
The box is offered as seen, and the contents have not been individually checked or valued. The exterior shows the general wear expected of an older trinket box, and the metal edging shows signs of age. Buyers who collect decorative boxes or vintage costume jewellery may be interested in the combined lot. Prospective bidders are encouraged to view the piece in person before the sale.
