Albanian 25 Leke Silver Proof Coin & Festival of Britain Crown
This lot comprises two commemorative coins. The first is a 1969 Albanian 25 Leke silver proof coin, depicting Skanderbeg’s victory over the Turks. This .999 silver coin measures approximately 60mm in diameter and weighs 88.33g. The reverse features a detailed scene of the battle, encircled by the inscription “SHQIPËRI ALBANIA”. The obverse displays the Albanian coat of arms and the denomination “25 LEKË”. The second coin is a 1951 Festival of Britain crown, featuring a portrait of King George VI.
Condition & Collectibility
Both coins are presented in protective plastic holders within their original presentation cases. The Albanian coin appears to be in excellent condition, retaining much of its original lustre. The Festival of Britain crown shows some signs of age and handling, but remains a desirable piece for collectors of British commemorative coinage. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
