British Army Dress Sword
This is a British Army dress sword, likely dating from the Victorian or Edwardian era. The sword features a polished steel blade, a decorative hilt, and a scabbard. It is a ceremonial sword, intended for formal occasions and parades rather than combat. The design suggests it was carried by an officer, given the quality of the materials and craftsmanship.
Condition and Collectibility
The sword shows signs of age and wear, consistent with its antique status. The blade may exhibit some patina or minor imperfections. This sword would be of interest to collectors of military memorabilia, antique arms and armour, or British history. It represents a tangible piece of military heritage and would make a striking display piece.
