Antique Blacksmith Bellows

This is a striking antique blacksmith bellows, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Constructed with a robust wooden frame and a leather bellows section, this piece would have been essential for maintaining a forge fire. The bellows are designed to be operated manually, with a handle to pump air into the forge, increasing the heat for metalworking. The construction suggests a utilitarian design, built for durability and functionality in a demanding workshop environment.

Condition & Collectibility

The bellows exhibit signs of age and use, with wear and tear to the leather and wood commensurate with its age. The leather is dry and cracked in places, and the wood shows some surface wear and minor imperfections. Despite this, the bellows remain structurally sound and retain much of its original character. This piece would be a desirable addition to a collection of antique tools, blacksmithing equipment, or industrial artifacts, offering a glimpse into the history of metalworking.
