Mixed Lot of Antique Books, Children’s Annuals and 7 Inch Singles
This lot comprises a large quantity of books and records housed in a striped fabric basket, with further 7 inch singles laid out beneath it. The books include a group of hardbound antique volumes, some with cloth or leather bindings, alongside a selection of children’s annuals. Visible titles include The Beano Annual 2003, The Beano Annual 2004, 365 Nursery Rhymes and the World Distributors Annual 1975. The singles are in their paper sleeves and include Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” from the Top Gun soundtrack, catalogue number A 7320, as well as other examples bearing EMI and Columbia label references.
Condition and Collector Appeal
Condition varies across the lot. Several of the annuals show general wear to their covers and spines, the antique volumes show signs of age, and a number of the sleeves are creased, marked or worn at the edges. No individual item has been fully examined, so buyers are advised to view the lot and check the condition of any items of particular interest before bidding. Collectors of vintage children’s publications, early hardback books and 1980s pop singles may find this assortment of interest, particularly as the children’s annuals and records span several decades.
