Antique Burslem Wash Basin
This is a beautiful antique wash basin originating from Burslem, Staffordshire, a historic centre for pottery production in England. The bowl features a delicate floral pattern, typical of Victorian-era ceramics, and is crafted from earthenware. Its design suggests it was intended for use in a domestic setting, likely as part of a washstand set. The bowl’s construction and aesthetic reflect the skilled craftsmanship of the Burslem potters.
Condition and Collectibility
The wash basin is in good antique condition, displaying the expected wear and patina consistent with its age. While there may be minor imperfections, these add to its character and authenticity. This piece would be a wonderful addition to a collection of antique pottery, Victorian bathroom decor, or simply as a decorative item with historical significance. It’s a charming piece of Staffordshire heritage.
