A Mixed Collection of Antique Copper Coins
This lot comprises a mixed group of antique copper coins of varying sizes and designs. Several pieces bear the portraits of British monarchs, including a laureate bust inscribed with the name of George III and a young portrait of Queen Victoria. Among the group is a larger example dated 1834 and inscribed “Double”, while other pieces display heraldic and armorial devices and a ship motif. The mixed selection offers a useful range of design styles from the late Georgian and Victorian periods.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The coins show the wear expected of pieces of this age, with some surfaces smoothed through circulation and others retaining more definition. Areas of green patination and dark toning are visible across several examples, and a number of the pieces have uneven surfaces. The coins are offered as seen, and their individual state should be considered when bidding. The group will appeal to collectors of British copper coinage, students of Georgian and Victorian currency, and those seeking a varied lot for a type collection or display.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
