Antique Copper Milk Churn & Targe Charger

This lot comprises an antique copper milk churn and a copper targe charger. The milk churn exhibits the classic cylindrical form associated with dairy farming, crafted from copper to maintain temperature and hygiene. The targe, a traditional Scottish shield, is circular and features embossed detailing, indicative of its historical use and craftsmanship. Both pieces showcase the enduring quality of copper and the skills of artisans from a bygone era.

Condition & Collectibility

Both the milk churn and targe charger display signs of age and use, consistent with their antique status. The copper exhibits patina and wear, adding to their character and authenticity. These pieces would appeal to collectors of dairyana, Scottish history, or antique copperware, and would serve as unique decorative items for a farmhouse or rustic interior.
