Antique Cranberry Glass Sugar Sifter
This elegant sugar sifter features a vibrant cranberry glass body, beautifully contrasted by a silver-coloured top. The glass is faceted, adding to its visual appeal and providing a comfortable grip. The pierced silver top allows for even distribution of powdered sugar, making it a functional and decorative piece for any table setting. This sifter likely dates to the Victorian or early 20th century, reflecting the era’s fondness for ornate and colourful glassware.
Condition and Collectibility
This antique sugar sifter shows signs consistent with age and use, including minor surface wear and possible light scratches to the glass and silver. The silver top may exhibit some patina, which is typical for antique silver. Despite these minor imperfections, the sifter remains a charming and collectible piece, ideal for a collector of antique glass or a lover of vintage kitchenalia. Its vibrant colour and elegant design make it a delightful addition to any display or collection.
