Antique German Bisque Doll Heads

These are two antique German bisque doll heads, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The heads exhibit the characteristic delicate porcelain of bisque, with painted features including eyes, eyebrows, and lips. These heads would have originally been mounted on a composition or cloth body, forming complete dolls. The style suggests they were intended to represent young children, with sweet and innocent expressions.

Condition and Collectibility

The doll heads show signs of age and wear, consistent with their antique status. There may be minor crazing to the bisque, and some loss of paint to the features. Despite this, the heads remain remarkably well-preserved and would be of interest to doll collectors, restorers, or those interested in antique toys. These heads offer a unique opportunity to restore a vintage doll or incorporate the pieces into an art project.
