Hotel Account Books

This lot comprises a collection of antique account books and memorandum documents relating to hotels, primarily the Hotel Bristol in Brailleu and The Victoria Station Hotel in Nottingham. The books cover a range of hotel operations, including daily records, maintenance logs, and financial accounts. The H.B. Hotel Bristol ledger is particularly notable for its detailed handwritten entries, documenting repairs, alterations, and guest correspondence from 1937/1938. The memorandum documents detail the articles of association for The Victoria Station Hotel.

Condition and Collectibility

These ledgers exhibit signs of age and use, with worn covers, faded writing, and some water damage. Despite this, the books remain largely intact and offer a fascinating glimpse into the operational history of these hotels. The handwritten entries and detailed records make this lot a valuable resource for historians, hotel enthusiasts, and collectors of ephemera. The books are original and represent a unique piece of hospitality history.
